ON CAPITOL HILL Bolton Vote in Committee The Senate Foreign Relations Committee conducts a debate and vote on the nomination of John Bolton as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Chair Richard Lugar (R-IN) and Ranking Member Joseph Biden (D-DE) continue a review of the nominee, based on issues raised at the committee's April 19 business meeting. 10AM-3:30PM ET ON C-SPAN3
But without the two cans of hair spray.
And also amazing, Barbara Boxer is saying on FOX, that the Republicans are the biggest oponents to Bolton. - lol
:7)
That's pretty damn obvious. Take your agenda somewhere else.
I hope you're right (although I would love to watch them shoot themselves in the foot -- again).
Good suggestion. Hagle or McCain the other day seemed to claim that they had ingratiated themselves with the religious right for one position or another. I don't think we should allow them to seek to divide and conquer that way as they try to negotiate themselves a presidential run. Let's let the ones know who we will remember, who is carrying the torch based on their core values, not some cynical manipulation.
Forcing a senator to talk has never been a problem. Getting them to shut up is more of in issue. Gassy windbag, effete snob, pantywaste, lightwait, girlyboy, eyescratching, wussies, all of 'em. In love with the process and in love with themselves. We need to demand that they get rid of the filliebuster once and for all.
Should I use a hammer to pound the sand or in this situtation, or should I just use my feet?
You need to calm down and get a grip, you have been on his back from the git-go and it is very peevish and childish for you to keep hammering the subject.
Maybe your lonely and like all the attention you are bringing upon yourself, so consider yourself ignored, I won't be an enabler for your rant.
And let me save you the effort of responding, no I am not claiming to be on a level with Einstein, at least not in the physics dept.
You're a hoot.
Adios.
I wonder if he'll sue for slander. Sounds like he has a case if they took his words out of context or rearranged them to fit their leftist ideas.
They never miss an opportunity to stick their finger in our eye. The jerks.
I agree with your assessment. Looks like we have become dirt to others of our kind, however. I am sorry about that. Not sorry that I called it as I saw it, however.
Voinovich is a defector, but if I am reading the tea leaves correctly, even Chaffee and Hagel will vote with the party. It wouldn't surprise me to see Nelson vote with the GOP and maybe a Dem like Lincoln or Landrieu. Conrad may be another since he is up for election in 2006.
On the John Bachelor radio program last week Bachelor said that one of the Foounding Fathers (Madison, I think) warned about the Senate...said that it would turn out to be like having 100 Dukes...sort of like pompous aristocrats who were always busy fawning over themselves and posturing to demonstrate their importance...sure does sound like Biden and Kerry.
I don't define myself by what others think of me. The people on this forum who are hell bent on trashing my views on anothers motives and try to silence me are themselves showing a major weakness.
I know---and I hope Baucus has to get back on the Senate floor and retract his words so they aren't left in the official Senate records....
I did not trash your views.
I merely stated that on Paul's profile page, he clearly states he doesn't agree with everyone's opinions here. On the other hand, he agrees with many of the opinions here, or he wouldn't have bothered to sign up and create a profile.
Trolls don't generally create a profile page expressing their opinions (at least that's been my experience so far, and I am pinged to all the troll posts).
I'm watching Special report
What the hell is this about Reid mentioning on the Senate Floor about looking at Saud's (sp?) FBI/CIA Files???
WTH ????
I was just watching Brit Hume and Major Garrett was giving a report about the Senators getting up on the floor today and give speeches about the judicial nominees---
and he brought up something that I wondered about at the time, but I didn't say anything---Sen. Reid was talking about some of the nominees that Bush has put forth and how bad they were and Reid said "if you don't believe me, just go upstairs and look at their FBI file."
Well, that is a major NO-NO and I guess a bunch of senators are furious because it is not supposed to be out in the open that they keep FBI files on everyone. Also, supposedly, only the Senators of the state that the nominee comes from are allowed to see the FBI files of that person. But, Reid spilled the beans about any of the Senators being able to look at the FBI files whenever they want to.....
This could be fun---
Well, I've been out all day and I was wondering what the Dems were going to pull now that the nomination's gotten out of the committee.
I see the Dems are still doing the UN's dirty work for it.
