>>is Cynthia McKinney perchance your congresscritter? She's been very very very quiet since she won her old seat back....and BTW, what's Majette done since?<<

OMG, was that ever a disappointment... McKinney is the ultimate stereotype of the crooked politician from a family of crooked politicians who know how to fire up the masses and convince them that while she may be a thief, she is their thief... Its really sad.

Majette, who seemed to be a decent sort personally still got a 100% rating from NARAL gave up the seat to run for senate and lost.

Hagel is stradling, as usual. Looks like he'll approve, but still has "grave doubts", blah blah blah

Byrd is waving around his little book----and wasn't it HE that has changed the rules before????

Why doesn't Frist bring that up and throw it up to his ugly face?

First, your county map does not support your position with regard to Stone Mountain. Stone Mountain is in DeKalb Country. No county in the State of Georgia was more blue in the 2004 election. And, as I said, Stone Mountain itself was more than 75% Kerry - that's from the Secretary of State precinct returns.

Hall county did go GOP. Gainesville was the least red area in the country. And getting more blue with every baby born there.

How in blazes can the Senate affirm or deny consent if the majority of Senators are not allowed a voice on the nomination?

What the hell does Sheets want?

Something else named after him. What that could be I have no idea. I think maybe he wants the state named after him. That's seems all that's left that his name isn't on.

What am I missing here? Haven't these nominees been voted out of committee? Is that what he's saying?

Haven't they been voted OUT of committee and the Dems just aren't letting them come to the floor!

Uh.....what is this crap with all the Dems saying that if Bolton is confirmed he will "need oversight" at the UN?

Hey! I like that idea! Confirm Mr. Bolton as the ambassador, and let him get to work. Then appoint an 8-member Bolton Oversight Group - UN/Senate(BOGUS), with membership having no authority and consisting of eight liberals with legislative experience. It would be a full-time position and thereby require resigning legislative or judicial office.

LOL! If a dem were in the WH we'd be talking about Ramsey Clark or Whoopi Goldberg as the nominee for Amb. to the UN.

Or Medea Benjamin, Barbra Streisand, Jamie Gorelick, the list goes on and on.
