U.S. Catholics Now Batting for Illegal Aliens
That's a rather broad brush. Should say "U.S. Catholic Bishops Now Battling for Illegal Aliens". I think they're a bunch of fuzzy-headed liberals on this issue - just gives me another reason to not send them any of my $$$ during their annual fund drive (a.k.a. "Bishop's Lenten Appeal").

There isn't a single political issue except abortion (and what business do they have getting involved in political issues anyway) that they haven't solidly supported the extreme leftist views. Gun control - all for it. Increased taxes? They're your men. I'm a Catholic, and I get heartily sick of what should be a religious organization being another set of pompous shills for the doctrines of Marx and Hegel.

I am a practicing Roman Catholic, so it is not anti-Catholic bias that motivates this: do not give the Catholic Bishops' Campaign for Human Development.
