Life is more than the flesh, it is consciousness, self awareness. There is no self awareness before birth. There is certainly POTENTIAL life before the process of birth. There is the potential of adulthood with every child but every child does not reach adulthood. We do not call children adults because they MAY reach adulthood and the unborn are not babys just because they MAY be born.
