I am feel like I am spamming threads but here goes anyway. When Senators Allen, Inhofe, and Dr. Coburn spoke at the OK GOP Convention they made certain everyone understood that the judicial issue would not be brought up until some key bills had cleared the Senate which could take anywhere from 2-4 weeks or a little longer. These bills are being voted on this week which is why you see the RATs scrambling trying to make a deal.

After those bills were passed Senator Allen stated that it was the obligation of the Senators to uphold their oath in voting on this federal judicial nominations. At that time he stated along with my two Senators, "ALL" filibustered nominations would be brought to the floor and there will be a vote under the "constitutional" option. The word nuclear was NOT to be used in conjunction with judicial nominees.

Time after time I have seen the Republican leadership tell the media and Americans it is not a "nuclear" option but a "constitutional" option, but it seems to have done no good as journalists/news readers along with some on here still use the word "nuclear" -- they pay no attention to what is said but sure do love to bash.

Seems reasonable to me that you get key bills passed before going after the judicial nominations but looks like some people are believing what the media and McCain has to say about a compromise -- this is a test for the Supreme Court nominees and they will not back down on the nominations according to aides I have talked to in the last few days. They know what is at stake. Instead of bashing Republicans like I have seen on here recently based on media/McCain accounts, maybe what you should be doing is giving them support and telling the Republican Senators you are supporting them in judicial fights and will take no for an answer.

What I keep seeing is people withholding funds from RNC and NRSC -- wonder how many really donate (sarcasm) like the people that say they are not voting for a Republican again on here. What good does withholding money do? All you are doing is giving the DemocRATs support because you are showing them their obstruction is working because Republicans are getting harmed not them.

Every time Sen Frist has spoken he is all about not backing down. Karl Rove weighed in with the same but on here some of you believe the RATs, the media, and McCain. What gives? If they back down on nominees, then go after them but right now all you have is heresay being carried by the LA Times for one and other analysts who I have to wonder about their agendas. What do you want Frist and others to do -- telegraph their plans or better yet go on TV and give the RATs step by step details on how they plan to handle this on the floor of the Senate? Why not just tell the RATs everything ahead of time because Freepers are disgusted and want to know what is going on because the media says the Republicans are caving. We can lose five Republicans and Cheney can break the tie.

Start calling your Republican Senators and tell them you support the "CONSTITUTIONAL" option for approving President Bush's judicial nominees. Call McCain and the DemocRAT Senators if they are from your State and give them an earfull of why they are ignoring the "CONSTITUTION" and their "OATH of OFFICE" in not advising/consenting to the President's nominees on the floor of the Senate without their quasi filibuster. At the same time tell them you will work to defeat them in 2006 if they are up for reelection. Quit bashing Republican Senators that are for the "Constitutional" option and lumping them all together.

My more than two cents -- now going outside to do some lawnwork -- hope this did some good but the way things have been going on here lately, I have my doubts.

For those folks in Nebraska -- time now to get a good candidate and send Nelson and his compromise back to Nebraska.

We have waited 4 years for some of these judges. Taking care of other business wore thin long ago. There is always some reason why we can't possibly do it now. If you want believe their BS, then so be it, but even if they were to move today, it won't happen of course, I would still be very upset with the republican senators. I'm also sick of being ignored when it's their conservative base that has made the real difference in so many elections. If you want hold their hand and sing Kumbiya, that is your business. I'm ready for the Battle Hymn of the Republic!

They have wasted 6 MONTHS, plus 4 YEARS. Enough is enough. If THEY LOSE THEIR JOB it will because of judges and the border issue. The illegal vote, FRAUD VOTE, is going to be HUGE in 2006. The GOP has pushed the faithful into what THEY THINK is the 'where else are you going to go mode', they are going to be unemployed and sadly mistaken. They have been caving and caving on issue after issue for months, on issues that WILL NOT affect the sovereignty of the nation or the integrity of the voting process. If those two things are not the two most important issues of every American, regardless of political stripe, then all they are doing is playing tiddlywinks and expecting the sheep to fall in line at election time. If they are NOT going to govern like a majority, certainly within the rules, then, they need to be turned out and replaced with fresh blood and balls.
