Notice that Republicans tend to have stinky approval ratings, while the RATS have good ratings. I suspect that the RAT base has been overstated in these polls.

I was very pleased to see my Rat governor, Blago, with a 36% approval rating, he's up for reelection next year too.

Survey USA's ratings are to be taken with a grain of salt.

In the 2004 election, one of the phones at GOP headquarters in Lansing was called. I was right there when it happened. We had fun with that one.

Survey USA typically has pretty accurate STATE poll numbers - (if I am recalling correctly). They are one of the polling places to watch for STATE polls during Presidential election years -

Possibly, but the MSM local press probably has a lot to do with it by editorializing against everything a Pub wants to accomplish and praising to high heavens the Rat agendas.

But look at Linda Lingle's 59%, the first Republican governor in 40 years in Hawaii, fairly conservative in an extremely liberal Democratic state.

Not really. Democrats average 49%, Republicans average 48%. No significant difference.
