The polling outfit to watch for state polls is Mason-Dixon.
Rasmussen did very well in 2004 as well.
Survey USA is fairly good, but not at the top of my list.

The corrupt, bony, phony, fraudulent bitch isn't my governor, that's for certain.
Might as well survey the illegals. Most of 'em probably voted, too.
I don't believe that Robert Erlich only has a 46% approval rating. Every survey I've seen shows him at about 61%. Even in this RAT state I haven't heard a lot of bad things about him. They must have surveyed every RAT they could find.
If there is anything I learned on FR is that polls are only useful for measuring current trends. With straight ticket voting at an all time high today, past elections results are the best predictors.
Matt's taken some heat already from BOTH sides...
He's got the tort reform done, eliminated some state jobs, and is trying to scale back Medicaid (which has proven the point that the only thing harder than getting the government to pay for something is trying to get the funding cut after approval). He's threatening to hold an extended government session until the school funding inequities are solved.
In short, he's ruffling some feathers.
We'll see ...it's early.
Yeah I noticed that too. Good sign for his reelection campaign -- and then we'll see about Prez (or VP). He's done a good job mixing conservative & populist initiatives.
Mitch Daniels' #s are surprisingly low.... although he did break his taxes pledge. That's something that only seems to hurt Republicans.
Linda Lingle is surprisingly strong. Makes me wonder why Democrats have been so obsessed about having the Dans run for Senate again -- do they want to wait until Lingle gets to appoint someone (/morbidity) or run as a popular two-term governor?
If Rick Perry is not careful he will get his A$$ handed to him by Kinky Friedman next year.
Did he get caught with a Dead Girl or a Live Boy?
So, everyone in the upper midwest loves the guv & everyone else thinks he stinks?
Napolitano has been running circles around the R's. She may run unopposed for reelection.
That is what I was thinking, those numbers are very hard to believe.
A weak economy, the highest unemployment rate in the state, and angry state workers.
Unless things change fast....she'll be going the way of the possible "future president" Jim Blanchard in 1990.
Mitch raised taxes and I noticed that several of the unpopular repubs (Taft, Riley) did so.
I recall Survey USA polls leaning very heavily democratic throughout the 2004 election. Not as bad as Zogby, but that isn't saying much.
And several of the popular rats.
