Fight? Our entire economy would collapse. Think Walmart, IBM, GM, Pepsi, Coca Cola, even our own soldiers' uniforms...Everything is made in China.
Including our food.
Garlic, apples, honey, and shrimp are a few of the products where the Chinese now dominate our food market. Their adversarial trade policies and our "free trade-lower all tariffs" no matter what the cost global trade mantra is putting us in a very insecure position.
They have more to lose than we do. China is NOT even our biggest trading partner. It is Canada that our nation trades most with.
As far as the Pepsi's, Coca Cola's, Starbucks, et al are concerned they have operations and investments in China but I believe that for the most part there is not yet much if any return on them. Those companies' strategies in China are very long term and I'm not sure having their forays in that market cut short by a war would be at all crippling.
Nope, from what I've seen in China their economy is more dependent on us than ours is on theirs.
