Here is a Yahoo group for those of us (I'm definitely one of them) interested in seeing George Allen of Virginia run for President. Check it out.

Hey, so far he is a 100 watt bulb burning bright amongst the 15 watters that are the Republican Senate majority.

"George Allen for President" No offense intended here, but here is the problem as I see it. When I first see this title, I ask myself, "Who in the Hell is George Allen?" I know the name but little else and I realize that this could change over time.
Perhaps it's a litte early?

No more Georges for a while already ...
That is unless he intends to fix our border problems .

Thanks for posting this. It's only 2005, but not too early for Americans to hear about George Allen, who is an outstanding leader. He will be a great President.

No, unfortunately it's not too early for those intending to run in 2008. Consider that sKerry and Edwards are openly running and Hillary is running a stealth campaign. There is no heir-apparent on the Republican side and your "Who ... is George Allen" illustrates the problem facing the Republican field.

If the Senate hasn't turned him into a member of the gentleman's club where everything is compromised, I agree.

Exactly what I was thinking. Right now we need much less campaigning and a lot more leadership.

He had better get his face on TV immediately. Not many people know who he is or what he believes.

You need to start watching Fox News, where Senator Allen is a fixture.

He had better get his face on TV immediately. Not many people know who he is or what he believes. Hey thats not a problem. Why, Keyes almost took Illinois, and no one had heard of him before he moved there, either.
To: moose2004
No thanks! I wrote him and John Warner a letter recently about the bankruptcy bill ... I heard back from John Warner, but not from Allen. Accordingly, I'll be voting for Gov. Mark Warner (a Demo but a reasonable one) come re-up time when George comes calling (Incidentally, before you flame me, I've sent his campaign money in the past and have been supporter.)
