I'm paraphrasing Ben Franklin:

He who gives up a little liberty to gain a little safety will get neither liberty nor safety.

I wish they taught this kind of history lesson in public schools instead of saturating their brains with sex, diversity and self esteem exercises.

Every single day there are slight erosions to our true liberty. It seems like a one-way street.

This ain't your granddaddy's America!

Our children are not being taught such in schools these days or college, for the most part. If a person takes the time to study the writings of T. Jefferson, G. Washington, J. Q. Adams, Ben Franklin, J. Madison, etc., that person would have a much better understanding of the way our government is suppose to work and the true meanings behind our Constitution.

Hell, for that matter, there's a whole slew of federal judges out there that need to read those writings too!

Excellent quote.

Plutarch warned, "The real destroyer of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations and benefits."

“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.” - Thomas Jefferson

Optima corrupta pessima. Latin proverb. "The best things, corrupted, become the worst."
