The Free Muslims Against Terrorism are proud to announce that on May 14th 2005, Muslims and Middle Easterners of all backgrounds will converge on our nation’s Capital for a rally against terrorism and to support freedom and democracy in the Middle East and the Muslim world. This will be the first rally of its kind in Washington DC that is led by Muslims and Middle Easterners.
Join us in sending a message to radical Muslims and supporters of terrorism that we reject them and that we will do all we can to defeat them.
We also want to send a message of hope to the people of the Muslim world and the Middle East who seek freedom, democracy and who reject radical Islam that we are with them and that we will do all we can to support them.
This rally is NOT limited to Muslims and Middle Easterners. We request anyone and everyone who supports our message to join us at the rally. We want to send a message to the extremists and terrorists that American Muslims, Christians, Jews and people of all faiths are united against terrorism and extremism.
We welcome all endorsers and we ask that you circulate and publish this message to as many groups and people as possible. Help us make history.

You never know . Yes, I'd keep one eye on them for sure but it's the most impressive attempt I've seen from their side. We'll watch . Actions not words count.
You mean to say Calipso Louey is not going to take the lead in this affair. The man has been as quiet as a church mouse, cough, cough, mosque mouse, since the POTUS said the time was a hand to remove Saddam.

I have met Sami El-Behiri (listed at http://freemuslims.org/about/chapters.php ) and heard him speak. He's very sharp, knowledgeable, committed to liberty and adamantly opposed to terrorism.

Dr. Dean Ahmad has been a real live individualist intellectual for liberty for decades.
In brain power they put even Hamid Karzai and Iyad Alawi to shame.
But that's just it. They had 4 years to denounce the actions of so called extremists. The extremists are actually "good" Muslims who are adhering to their faith. How can any Muslim denounce actions that were not only condoned, but were obligated by their prophet? Muslims are to emulate Muhommad. What a wonderful role model.
Why now? Could it be that more Americans are finally waking up to the real threat of Islam? I say it's Taqiyya at work.
I hope this event is monitored closely.

I'm with you. Deception was one thing that muslims have excelled in.
I often wonder if there are mor emuslims who are staunchly pro-america than CAIR want us to believe. Said organization seems to be portraying muslims as renegades against America, people who feel more opressed in America under the Patriot Act and racial profiling then they would be in your typical arab country.
I knew a kid in my high school who whose family immigrated form Kuwait,(I think it's a safe bet they were muslim), and when I asked him about Bush, his response was,
"he's saving my people(from Saddam). He's a good guy-unlike Clinton-that b***tard".
Granted, this was only one person. But as a few other freepers have noted, muslims who immigrated to America, felling the wrath of Saddam and other various dictators,
are often strong patriots and unabashedly pro America. They seem to understand that being racially profiled at an airport is an absurdly small price for living in American capitalist society-akin to paying ten dollars for a first class trip around the world.

How can this be? We have been told so many times here that there are NO Muslism who oppose the terrorism of bin Laden and his ilk. We have been told so many times here that ALL Muslims are the enemy. I'm starting to get confused. :)
