Absolutely correct.

Bringing in cheap labor to work in the fields is something we had to do 100 or 200 years ago, before the advent of modern machinery and farming techniques.

This is a new era...a new economy...the age of technology. Trying to build a modern highly competitive economy on the backs of poor, uneducated, culturally segregated labor is a total disaster in the making. It is the equivalent of modern day slavery. Yes China uses cheap labor...they are a totalitarian country...we aren't. Our 'compassionate' social services system..when coupled with the waves of illegal immigration will bankrupt us.

Better we should grow our economy by developing better machines...increased productivity...this is the way we became a superpower. We want wages to go UP for Americans..thats how we measure our standard of living..that is the result of a highly successful economy...not having half the laborforce operating at minimum or below wages....which is where unchecked illegal immigration will eventually take us.

Yes...that type of society is the democrats dream world. They will use it to build their socialist power base...never to be challenged again for power.
