It appears that Reid and Leahy are tying to make a deal with themselves. Frist opened the session asking for votes on ALL of the nominees. Then Reid and Leahy were basically talking to each other.

Cornyn spoke for 15 minutes on Priscilla Owen as a matter of 'morning business' and Leahy will get a mathcing 15. He is now talking about how miserable the Bush presidency is--how everything has gone up (debt, unemployment, price of gas, etc.) but the percent of judges blocked has gone down.

What a crock of crud. No deal appears to have been made folks--looks like the Pubs are still standing tall.

Huge (or hugh) sigh of relief. I thought my head was coming off when I read about the "deal" in Roll Call. Someone there must have it in for me :)
