Looks like RATS are allowing a vote on two of them now, which seems like an alignment with the
report in Roll Call about Lott's "deal". This is either a bad sign that there is some validity to the Roll Call report or a desparate act by the RATS.

There better not be a "deal".
As if the dems are going to keep it!
As soon as Pres. Bush appoints a new Chief Justice to the SCOTUS or fills an open seat on the SCOTUS the dems will view who ever Pres. Bush picks as "to EXTREME".

Judge Owen deserves consideration by the full Senate, not a backstabbing "deal". Anybody who calls Owen an "extremist" is a pathetic "loser".

Senator Cornyn called the RAT filibuster of judicial nominees exactly what it is, "shameful".

I am emailing the RNC right now, telling them to take me off of their mailing list and that they are getting no money. W cant rein these senators in, the will of the majority is being thwarted and Frist makes promise after promise. I have had it..

Unfortunately, many times Lott IS the joke.

If there is a compromise, it is probbaly because neither party is quite sure of how many troops it has.
To: Bahbah
You can bet that a deal is in the works unless FRIST comes to the floor with "NUKE" NOW !!!!!

Rush was talking about an agreement written by Lott and Nelson. I don't know if this is what they're debating now - I'm listening to Rush.
THIS IS ABOUT THE CONSTITUTION - it's not about senate history. A Senate Rule CANNOT TRUMP the Constitution. That is the Senate Rule is what needs to be changed - because it goes against what the Contitution allows.

Speaking order..........Leahy(up now) then Wyden, then Lott.
I'm glad the repubs will get the last word.
I always hate when the dems rant on and on and on and there's no rebuttal form the right.

Republicans have no back bone. What a shocker! Why do they implode every time is beyond me? This is also why Kerry won the state of Washington in the last election. Washington will be the blue print for 2008 for the Libs.
To: advance_copy
That sounds like something fishy is up. I thought Senator Lott got shafted but he did a classy thing by staying in there for the GOP. I hope he isn't about to cave.

Lott = No backbone sellout (aka Mr. Compromise)
