Help Stop a Ridiculous Cell Phone Tax in MO!

You probably know that Missourians already pay state and local sales tax on the purchase of wireless service. But did you know that some cities want to charge your wireless company with additional taxes on this same service? Because wireless customers would ultimately pay for the cost of these additional local taxes on wireless service providers, wireless service costs will go up dramatically if these cities succeed.

Coming to your state next! Let's stop it now!

They do this in San Jose to the tune of like five bucks every month. Fight it! Don't feed the tax beast, whatever you think of cell phones themselves!

Tried to tell 'em. They didn't want to listen. If they did't smoke, they didn't care...now look.

This is not only in MO....Ohio is going to do it too.

The state and local fees as well as a federal excise tax (first levied to fund the Spanish American War) amount to a tax rate of nearly 40% on BOTH my cell phone and landline phone. State lawmakers are salivating at the prospect of doing the same thing to your Internet access.

I would not tax internet access, but I would tax email.

And income for the taxgrinders as a bonus.
