What you're dealing with is the different between a hoax and "credible threat", as well as the specificity of the threat. Personally I consider a "Kill the Jews (among others ) sent to me by screename specific, whether a court would agree I don't know. I believe one of the early successful prosecutions in this area was of an individual who was EMailing Asians with a "kill the Asian", as opposed to a Kill SJackson or Kill Laz threat.

BTW, ironic to see freepers suddenly supportive of hate crime laws, isn't it?

it's ironic and disgusting. i hate "hate crimes" legislation. too big brother for me...right oout of George Orwell's 1984.

Many freepers would do well to read that book (and others) again, and get back to some conservative basics.

i don't believe this conservative support for "hate crimes" charges is a legit case of fighting fire with fire (i.e., a case of the greater good).

This is NOT to say there aren't certain legal, ethical. legit grounds to go after this clown. But i don't think "hate crimes" is the best way.
