There is an internet vandal who defaces Free Republic with very gross pictures (homosexual sex and stuff from rotton.com) as well as posting "ALL YOU F***** N*****S & JEWS SHOULD BE LYNCHED".
He pings a variety of people to his post, ensuring that the trash is still in their My Posts lists.
To me, this isn't the milder form of harassment that Eschoir engaged in so many years ago. The very worst he would do is ask if you ever committed sodomy, and he once used the screen name "Paula Jones Tw*t". This is mild.
What this sick piece of work is doing is much more egregious. I believe it crosses the line into criminal defacement and restraint of trade. Are there any Free Republic lawyers (especially prosecutors) who can address this issue, and are there any private detectives with internet savvy that will help track the identity of this person down?

They don't allow hotlinking, so you'll normally see the red X or an image which say's no hotlinking. A lot smarter than linking to porn, imo.

The thing I truly love about the game is that it is one of the few games that will hook you in without violence or anything else. It's like nothing you've ever seen.
You'll find yourself playing the same level over and over again to not only beat it, but to get to "unlimited" or "eternal" play.

Apostropher's story rings true, I think. I'm the one who found the link between Free Republic and the tubgirl image, using Google. I misinterpreted what he said in his blog.
Personally, I find the use of tubgirl as punishment for hotlinking to be way over the top, and I don't like his blog, either. But I don't think he's our guy in this trolling.
He writes too well, and he's shown up and continued to engage here in the forum. Doesn't fit.

Me, too! I love a good game of Quake, or Doom, or Tribes, or GTA, or SOCOM. But this suckered me in, and my three year-old climbed into my lap, and I was hooked.
