James54, please quit showing your family pictures. Actually, I don't think it is a zot, so my apologies. He didn't start the thread. He's just a disrupter.

Yes, you are correct. I failed to read the full article. The first thing that popped into my mind was another dead clinton acquaintance.

About half of everyone who breaks a hip at that age dies within a year. My father survived, but he did not have replacement surgery.

Complications of hip surgery, he was 87. Could have been any number of things. My FIL died of a MRSA infection that led to pneumonia following hip surgery after a fall, he too was elderly.

and in charge of Gore's 2000 attempt to steal the election..Yep. Though I don't mourn one bit for this man, I do feel a little regret at the passing of what may be the last of the gentleman Democrats.
Contrast the way Lloyd Cutler carried himself with the current pack of wolves --the Carviles, the Stephanopouli, the Chris LeHeinouses.
OTOH, I guess Cutler was able to maintain that courtly façade because he had other people do the dirty work.

I got the information from my father's doctor. My father was 93 at the time. He's 96 now.

Is it just me, or does it seems like most liberals live a lot longer than that It just seems that way, because time drags so badly when you are around them.
