The left is all about distortion. They conveniently forget that the Nazis were socialists and are now waging a campaign of making Jesus Christ into the first socialist.
Wrong, wrong, wrong! Robin Hood took from the government and gave to the poor. Stupid libs, can't even get the facts right.
bttt
Sounds to me as if Kristof has lined his nest already. Doesn't need anymore.
Therefore, he wants to toss scorn on all his liberal allies who are trying to get a piece of the action.
Typical Liberal.
Where are Dennis Moore and his horse Concorde when you need them. "He robs from the poor and gives to the rich..."
What do you mean "we"?
Ping.
The study found that we face a present value fiscal gap - the excess of expected payments over expected revenue - of $51 trillion. Thats 11 times our official national debt and also greater than our total net worth, meaning that in some sense were bankrupt.
Gives one an idea of Robinhood's future tax rate.
I realize what follows is heresy but here goes. The Greatest Generation is also the Greediest Generation. THEY are the ones that came back from WW2 and decided to break the piggy bank. THEY, NOT THE BOOMERS are the ones who pushed for increases in SS benefits, voted for Medicare, established the principle of endless deficit spending, demanded Medicare pay for their meds. The Boomers have been paying through the nose to cover those benefits, and as things stand look to see the system collapse just in time for their retirement.
Not only taxes, but one of the most dramatic shifts in wealth comes from corporations to trial lawyers in the US as they stick up American capitalism for spurious lawsuits.
What'd you say? Friar Tucks?
bump for later
I say we appoint Michael Shiavo to head the new Department of Elderly Termination. You make it to 65 and we throw you a big party, culminating in your send off to the next life. We won't need to worry about Medicare or SS Reform. Just kill em off.
It would be a hugh savings.
Ping list for the discussion of the politics and social (and sometimes nostalgic) aspects that directly effect Gen-Reagan/Generation-X (Those born from 1965-1981) including all the spending previous generations (i.e. The Baby Boomers) are doing that Gen-X and Y will end up paying for.

Sorry, Lee ... but when I see this cliche I stop reading: I know probably I won't be seeing anything original after it.
Well, at least one boomer admits it.
