I am happy for Don Herbert.

But reading this, we can see that there are so many unknowns, so many uncertainties, and yet Terri Schindler Schiavo was killed, despite of more than reasonable doubt about her condition, and no doubt about her being an innocent person, who was inconvenient to her husband.

I for one, don't understand the outrage about killing Terri. Millions of people are killed inside the womb, why complain if we kill them outside the womb? It's a double standard. Murder is murder, bottom line.

I've noticed lots of people comparing this fireman to Terri Schaivo.

Has anybody seen a CAT scan of Mr. Herbert's brain? I remember a CAT scan of Terry Schaivo's brain. (Posted on FR.) It had a huge hole in the middle where her cerebral cortex (Center of higher brain functions)was. It had been replaced by fluid. Does Don Herbert suffer from similiar damage to his cerebral cortex or other portion of his brain?

Let's compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. Every case is different and should be treated that way.
