I doubt that there are enough congress/sentate critters in either party with guts to vote for this. If they had any guts they would abolish automatically awarding legal fees on any suit. Let the lawyers take their chances in these cases just like any others. As it is now the lawyers have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Sounds like a step in the right direction. Personally, I'd like to see that entire "Civil Rights Attorney's Fees Act" repealed, but I'll settle for this for now.

Our job now is to contact our representatives to support the PERA bill, and to spread awareness of this bill. At the very least the ACLU should not be funded by our tax dollars. Let's close up this loophole--it's a good start.
