The fence, with the U.S. emulating Israel, has been my idea for months now. But it would cost a couple of billion to do it right and since the illegals only cost the U.S. 60-100 billion per year it can't be justified yet. When the cost of illegals goes to about 200 billion maybe we can spend two billion to get the fence. You have to remember how the Govt.works.

What I want to know is, which laws can WE simply ignore? Tax laws? Gun laws? Not a chance.

If the ICE and the ATF swapped agents, every illegal alien would be arrested, deorted or shot in a month, and Americans could shoot machine guns in their yards without even an investigation.

A decent border fence/wall with surveillance would cost around 8 billion to build, based on construction estimates I've seen.

But considering the cost of govt services for illegal aliens being at over 10 billion per year, that would be a worthwhile investment.

Not to mention the fact that a large proportion are receiving expensive special services while incarcerated due to high incidences of mental illnesses, fears of retaliation by the Mexican Mafia etc. Often requiring 1:1 ratio of staff support costing $750-1200/day.
