In my heart, I still cannot believe that we have a President so bold, so couageous, so truthful and so wonderously 'direct speak' oriented, a President who understands in his HEART that freedom is etched upon the hearts of mankind, not just those lucky enough like you or I to have been born into a free society.
He just gets it.
And I just love him for it and I always will.
His remarks to today were so perfect today I was riveted...his sensitivity to place, to the need to be gracious, to invoke humor and to answer questions with direct answers...not that horrific clintonian mush that liberals relate so well to because they depend upon popularity instead of conviction.
President Bush ALWAYS actually takes a stand...and he ALWAYS maintains his awe of the office he holds even as he USES the power it lends to MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE................FOR REAL!
I love the quotes you included in today's thread.
And thanks so much for the pics...........I love our President.
And I just love him for it and I always will.
Beautiful, Republic!
Good to 'see' you again!
Great post, and I agree 100%, but as much as I would love to take the credit, Wolfstar is who posted the Quotes,

. . . BEAUTIFULLY AND PASSIONATELY STATED . . . I COULDN'T AGREE MORE!!!
The President's words today echo those he shared in his 2005 Inaugural Address:
. . . "We go forward with complete confidence in the eventual triumph of freedom. Not because history runs on the wheels of inevitability; it is human choices that move events. Not because we consider ourselves a chosen nation; God moves and chooses as He wills. We have confidence because freedom is the permanent hope of mankind, the hunger in dark places, the longing of the soul. When our Founders declared a new order of the ages; when soldiers died in wave upon wave for a union based on liberty; when citizens marched in peaceful outrage under the banner "Freedom Now" - they were acting on an ancient hope that is meant to be fulfilled. History has an ebb and flow of justice, but history also has a visible direction, set by liberty and the Author of Liberty.
When the Declaration of Independence was first read in public and the Liberty Bell was sounded in celebration, a witness said, "It rang as if it meant something." In our time it means something still. America, in this young century, proclaims liberty throughout all the world, and to all the inhabitants thereof. Renewed in our strength - tested, but not weary - we are ready for the greatest achievements in the history of freedom.
May God bless you, and may He watch over the United States of America."
Very well said, Republic.
I am convinced that whatever happens from this day forward, President George W. Bush will go down in history as the Liberator of the Opressed.
