I can only imagine what was going through the school's mind...

I mean, Ft. Benning is only right there next to Columbus, GA. There is probably a very good portion of the students there with military parents.....

"We are empathetic to all students whose parents serve in the armed forces … (but) we do have behavior standards which we uphold," said Superintendent John A. Phillips Jr.

Obviously, intelligence is not one of those standards.

"People are fussing at us, calling us names," Turner said.

"NAZI pinhead" comes to mind.

a teacher told him to give up his cell phone outside the school during his lunch break, and he refused...School officials said Francois was defiant and used profanity when asked to surrender his phone.

Three words:

Good for him.

Common sense , logic , rational , are all abandoned in a politically correct society . It's amazing they've gone that far in reducing his punishment . God bless you the son of an american mom serving in Iraq . And god bless your mom and all others who have choosen to serve their country .. .. .. I'll forgive you for talking to your mom .. .. ..

They're administrators! They didn't realize there's
a time difference between Georgia and Iraq!

Not only is this school close to Ft. Benning ... Spencer HS is the designated school for all high school students living on post at Benning. The school grounds butt up against the military post!

The school has no collective mind, and the teachers and school administrators are likely to be 60-70% brainless, just like the national average.

Teacher GRABBED the phone and disconnected his call. That is why the student used profanity.
