This is an example of the toxicity I referenced. In what way can it be "useful" to separate conservatives from each other, over an issue which will not be improved by such a separation?
You want to divide like minded people over a principle, when that principle will not be enhanced by the division.
AS for your apparent bravado, how did you "fight with any means necessary?" Did you go to Florida and try to force your way in on a rescue mission? You did not. You postured.
I thought what happened to Terri Schiavo was appalling but I think the divisiveness such as you applaud is appalling also.
"Did you go to Florida and try to force your way in on a rescue mission? You did not. You postured."
I'm in no physical shape for that sort of thing. But there are plenty of young studs out there who fancy themselves conservative. The Schiavo case did not speak well for conservative manhood.
So, again, you are telling us to "shut up about Terri". Do I remember all the threads about "gun rights", the Patriot Act, the religious threads, the Oklahoma tragedy, Elian?
One thing FR posters need to realize. We are not a small thought coordinated group. We are diverse as the conservative movement grows. Efforts to make us march in step do not help the fight against liberals.
We will have those conservatives on this side because of their religious beliefs, or their belief on abortion, taxes, the war, homeland security, social security, the anti-socialism proponents, the "small" government believers.
What has been scary is the discovery that there are many here that see nothing wrong with killing off American citizens based on their opinion as to the quality of that person's life. In fact, they are in favor of it because of the use of "resources".
Hard to find anything in common with those that are willing to kill for convenience, expediency, or "resources".
