MIAMI - The family of a severely brain-damaged woman who died after her feeding tube was removed in March said Friday they still have not been told where her remains will be laid to rest.
Terri Schiavo's parents and siblings, who waged a lengthy court battle over her end-of-life wishes, said on Fox's "Hannity & Colmes" show that her husband is keeping her remains from them.
"They were supposed to tell us, and we still have not heard from ... Michael Schiavo where Terri's been laid," said Terri Schiavo's brother, Bobby Schindler. "Our family expected this. Michael has disobeyed court orders throughout the ordeal and continues to do so today."
Michael Schiavo is under court order to notify the Schindlers of his plans for a memorial service. He has had his wife cremated and has said her ashes would be buried at a family plot in Pennsylvania.
George Felos, Michael Schiavo's attorney, did not immediately return a call Friday night seeking comment.
Terri Schiavo, 41, died March 31 in a Pinellas Park hospice, 13 days after her feeding tube was removed by court order. She suffered brain damage in 1990 after a chemical imbalance caused her heart to stop.
She left no written instructions in the event she became disabled, and her husband said she never would have wanted to be kept alive in what court-appointed doctors called a persistent vegetative state with no hope of recovery.
The Schindlers, however, doubted she had any such end-of-life wishes. They maintained she would benefit from rehabilitation, despite most doctors saying her condition was irreversible
I can't believe anyone would elevate her case to the level as The Alamo, 9-11 or Pearl Harbor.
The point I was making is that no one -- including her parents -- really knew what Terri would have wanted. And only that.
You may be surprised at how seriously pro-life folks took this.

And I don't agree. I think Terri's strong will to live said it all. My original point.
A will to live? Sorry, but there's no evidence of that. That Terri lived for 15 years in a persistent vegetative state being fed through a tube and given adequate medical care is not evidence of a "will to live".
Her will to live was demonstrated by her ability to survive as long as did, even in the face of multiple attempts to kill her.
What are you whining about? You folks got what you wanted.
Anyone who survives, two starvation/dehydration attempts and several serious illnesses and then lives thirteen days on the final starvation/dehydration attempt has a strong will to live.
I'm not surprised how seriously the emotionally gullible took it. Unfortunately the emotional gullible distract from the serious pro-life. By distract I mean embarrass and discredit. It is easy to discredit the whole 'pro-life' movement by the association with the emotionally gullible.

That Terri survived for so long is a testimonial to the care she was given, not to some non-existent will.
The DCF doctor was the most impartial doctor of all. All the other doctors were chosen by either the Schindlers, Schiavos or the very partial Judge Greer.
Unfortunately, she most assuredly was.
Sorry, PVS patients do not respond the way Terri did, not even once. You believe as you do because you want to, not because it's what the evidence indicates.
And BTW, it is wrong to starve and dehydrate a person in pvs, or did you ignore the recent pronunciations of Pope John Paul II?????
I think because they are so emotionally involved they aren't cogent to the way they are perceived. The apparent emotional hysteria makes it very easy to discredit their arguments. My only problem with the continued, perpetual Terri threads is the same discredit is applied to all of us here at FR, and all conservatives in general. I also think the heated rebuttals on the Terri threads are not so much anti-Terri, or anti-life, but are anti-fringe element in attempts to distance the right in general from the right fringe. This is for two reasons; the battle is over the middleground and we not yield that ground, and, to resolve the conflict between logic and emotion in our own humble peabrains.

I think you just love it when you can insult someone and further discredit the right. You do hate the middleground, don't you?
