If Jews know better than anybody else what kind of an unbalanced mind it takes to produce the sickness of prejudice, why do they so comfortably practice it themselves by making a special target of prejudice any member of the Republican Party, especially if he is recognized as a far-right Republican? Somehow Jews have all always been enraptured by the words "liberal" or "Democrat." We convinced ourselves that the word "liberal" and "Jew" is a package made in heaven, ordained by God like a marriage, consecrated till death do us part. Love may be blind, but does it also have to be deaf and dumb which it must be for Jews who can't recognize the contempt many liberals have for them.
The story of Harry Truman is a perfect example. Jews are still blinded from the reality of Harry Truman's real character, and possessed of a romanticized version of his love for the Jewish people. Whenever a Jew opened his mouth, the story of Truman's Jewish partner in the haberdashery business came flying through his teeth, blinded to the fact that Truman not only found Jews distasteful and repulsive but even thought of his Jewish partner as a burden he had to bear because he couldn't find any gentile in town who would trust him with his cash. It is a historical fact that Truman never invited his partner to his home, never even asked him if he was happy or healthy; he only cared if his hand could move enough to sign a check.

"In 2004, 50% of practicing Jews voted for Bush"
Catholics "practice" while Jews "observe" ... unfortunately the % of observant Jews is very low, so 50% of OBSERVANT Jews is still a very small number ... but it IS a step in the right direction.
Little about this past election disappointed as much as the American Jews' failure to see the Bush as their friend. Instead many were leaders of the worst Bush Bashing. Those were NOT mostly Observant Jews.
Not all American Jews love the Democratic party. Not a good idea to paint with such a broad brush.
She was never able to understand why I became a conservative; and up until she died 2 years ago I could not even make her see that those "poor Palestinans" harbor a deep and abiding hatred for her and would gladly slit her threat if given the chance.
The good news is that I gave her her only grandchild, and that child is a good little conservative and staunch Republican. There is hope.
Where do you get the idea that Jews don't want you to have guns? Many of us are gun-owners ourselves, since we will not march quietly into the showers ever again. Gun-control is the mantra of ALL liberals, not simply Jewish liberals!
Why would keeping Americans at each other's throats be to "their" (not all) advantage? Why would this be advantageous to Jews?
And BTW Lenin and Stalin were NOT Jews. In fact, Stalin killed more Jews than Hitler. So what is your point about Marx? As a conservative, Messianic right wing Jew, I have found greater support for Israel and Jews on the right and greater anti-semitism on the left. I don't bother challenging it on the left. But I have enough respect for FReepers to ask them to think before making these anti-Jewish statements.
Please re-phrase American Jews to American Liberal Jews. Jews like Mark Levin, David Horowitz, etc. are true conservatives.
I am a true conservative of Jewish decscent. I am also American. So how do I fit into your sterotype?
I missed that post. I suppose the case can be be made that Marx was an apostate Jew. His parents were both Lutheran converts, a couple years before his birth by most accounts. He was baptised, educated in a Lutheran school, and his first writings were theological in nature. I'd view him as an athiest, apostate-Lutheran, apostate Jew in that order. Of course as a virulent Jew hater he's likely rolling in his grave at that last characterization.
Of course the contrary view is that Jews are just a bunch of commies destroying this country by importing mud people. More instructive of those who hold those opinions than Jews. And they're not all Democrats.
What, in the name of all that is good and pure, are "mud people"?
"My dad was a democrat. My granddaddy was a democrat. His dad was a democrat. We were born three things. Irish, Catholic, and Democrat".
You've just described my family LOL!! I even remain a registered Dem because I'm afraid my Union President Dad would roll right out of his grave! Am conservative, and haven't voted Dem in years, but old traditions die hard!!
I repeated thombo's post number 12 in my post of 25. His original post has been removed, thanks to the good sense of the admin mod. I suggest that there are plenty of Neo-Nazi and Islamic websites that would welcome thombo's view of the Jews, the fact that his post was removed indicates that Free Republic may not be one of them.
In general non-whites and non-Christians, though some use it in more limited fashion to describe Mexicans.
Yes, thanks, that's where I read it.
I agree with you. Many people I've worked with whose fathers, grandfathers were staunch union members and still vote Democrat because their unions tell them to even though they are socially conservative.
However, my nephew is a member of the Teamster Union and he said many of his co-workers said to him this last election in Nov. '04, they were voting for Bush. There is hope.
Outside of the Jewish people always voting for Dems, black Americans are also a mystery as to why they always vote for Dems and this inclu des even the professionals I've come in contact with.
Sorry, you said you missed the post, I realize now you meant the original!
You are, of course, right about Marx rolling in his grave. Funny how often the old boy gets trotted by the anti-semites as proof of the Jew as the ultimate commie--or is it the commie as the ultimate Jew?
: )
Thank you for enlightening me.
Thanks for taking the time to respond, and for quoting me correctly ie "many Jews(not all)".Many does not mean all.People(not just you)please read!Could we continue this thread later when i have time to provide you with documentation to support my statements?I never once mentioned Israel, but since you brought it up,as far as Israel is concerned,i fully support Israels right to exist and to defend themselves.Would you at least give me the opp to explain myself more fully?
Of course. Will read with open mind.
"Will read with an open mind."Thanks, that's all i ask.I would like to continue this discussion when i have time later this evening,if you wish.
Only Jews who are totally insecure in their own faith would be "worried" about proselytising by Christians.
