How long before Johnny Gayman gets loud and proud?

I saw him on some celebrity house show like MTV Cribs or something. His wife is pretty hot and he has a couple of kids.

I was just thinking of this thread this morning while I was watching ESPN (which is incidentally Yankee friendly, as one would imagine).

I am not a Yankee fan, but announced early in this thread that the Yanks will fight their way back.

It's funny yo me , but it seems one Boston sports writer recently declared the race over and that the BoSox had won.

For the record. Choosing between the Yankees and BoSox is like having to choose between Measles or Chicken Pox.

The Yanks deserve 1st place. We've been holding on to 1st place for weeks without any right to it at all, playing awful baseball. Congrats.

Kevin Brown still sucks, though.

The Sox would have won 3 of 4 if they had someone (ANYONE!) who can run third base!

Yanks in first. Nietzsche was right. What a dark day.

See, now that's the difference between your typical Sox fan and your typical Yankees fan---the Sox fan can give credit where credit's due, while the Yankees fan is always a douche. The Yanks deserved to take three of four from us this weekend: the Sox sucked shit. Francoma demonstrated once again that he's simply not a good game-time manager. He might handle players well, he might be a good clubhouse guy, but as a baseball strategist, he's a mighty good canvas dufflebag.

I don't like this year's Sox team at all. They're resting on their laurels----their inability to put teams away is maddening.

It's mental laziness and mental distraction. It started a week before the ASB. I don't know what will wake them up. I'll volunteer to throw hot coffee in their faces if it will help.

Dale Svuem really blew it big time this weekend a few times. You need Wave-Em-In-Louis (Sojo) over there. He never saw a runner steaming toward third that he did not want to send home.

And the Braves are only a half-game behind. Looks like order is about to be restored in the MLB.

No kidding. I am like the only Sox fan down here on the CT shoreline. I have been getting speared instead of the usual ribbing at work lately.

I wouldn't count on the Yankees holding onto 1st place with that pitching staff.

It appears that the Yankees should be more concerned with the Orioles for the wildcard.

I wouldn't even rule out the Blue Jays either. Boston better find a closer.

Kevin Brown still sucks, though.

He does indeed. ....as does the Yanks' middle-relief (although Sturtze pitched very well last night). Steinbrenner's going to hav to make at least one big move for pitching before the trading deadline (in 12 days).

How long before Schilling is able to start? Even when completely healthy he doesn't look like the reliever type -- takes too long to warm up.

Did Manny visit an outhouse in the Green Monster last night? He got outta there just in time. ....the next batter hit the ball right to him.

Yankees fan is always a douche.

Once again displaying the legendary dearth of class that Sox fans are noted for.

The differnce between a dynasty and a wannabe is about 215 miles and 20 World Series championships.

They've got a fan inside there, so he goes inside to cool down.
