MVA taken to task for offending law breakers

It is against the law to deny an illegal alien a driver's license, says the executive director of an immigration-rights advocacy group in Maryland, presumably with a straight face and without the help of a laugh track. The advocacy group obviously picks which laws to embrace. An illegal alien is an illegal alien, after all. Given the potential usefulness of this upside-down appeal, an advocacy group for pickpockets is perhaps an idea whose time is nearing. If so, in these enlightened times, the group undoubtedly would seek assault charges against anyone who might clamp down on the wrist of the wallet-seeking pickpocket.

Any alien that wants to drive legally on US soil can apply for an Internationl Drivers License.
This will be honored, for the purposes of driving, by all US police officers.
From the Dept of Transportation website http://ntl.bts.gov/faq/intdl.html : The International Drivers' indicates that a person has a valid drivers' license in their home country and is allowed to drive in the U.S. People who need to drive in the U.S., but are not legal residents can apply for it before they leave home.
Any alien that needs another form of ID can use their passport. These are accepted by everyone as a verified form of id.

It is against the law to deny an illegal alien a driver's license... So says an illegal alien apologist who is obviously living on another planet. The Real ID Act about to be passed will hopefully bring him back down to this world where he'll understand the situation a little better.

I'm more than tired of this play on words.
Illegals still fall under the laws of our land, ALL OF THE LAWS!!!!!
If DMV finds people in front of them who have broken the laws then proper authorities should be notified and that person arrested for their transgression of our laws.
Every Illegal Alien has broken the laws of our nation. If they are detected they should be arrested, ON THE SPOT AND DEPORTED!!!!! We should never get to the point of deciding if we have to give an Illegal a drivers license. The minute they are found to be illegal the wheels should start turning to get them out of our country!
I do not get to chose what laws I want to break and then get away with the illegal activity and I am a native citizen of this country. Nobody should have this option!!!!!
We should never let illegals go with a promise to appear for a hearing at a later time. The option should be either wait in jail or instant deportation!!!!! 3,000, yes, three thousand murder warrants are presently out for illegals from Mexico who have fled south to avoid prosecution. The Mexican government will not extradite them so they can face trial. Don't tell me that they are harmless and that they just come here to do work that no one else will. THAT'S CRAP!!!!! The jails and prisons of our southwestern states are full of Illegals who have been caught and convicted of felonies. A larger % of the illegal population is on welfare, food stamps, and public medical than the than the reflective % of Whites and Blacks together. If you don't like the truth, that's tough, just stop trying to juggle words and numbers and lie to the rest of us.

...bear re-emphasis. Another Red Herring issue which already has been remedied.

So with the encouragement of the U.S. government and with the financial support of major U.S. corporations and foundations, LULAC, MALDEF, MEChA/MEXA, and La Raza, pillars of the radical ''Hispanic'' lobby, successfully and aggressively promote hatred of the history, identity, culture, language, and laws of the United States.

The Real ID Act will only be as good as its enforcement.

The Real ID Act will only be as good as its enforcement. As is any other law. We'll have to wait and see if any states defy it as they have in-state college tuition for illegals. Oregon I heard is already preparing to say no to Real ID.
