MONACO - A former flight attendant from Togo claimed in an interview in a French magazine that Monaco's new ruler, Prince Albert II, is the father of her 20-month-old son.
Nicole Coste is quoted in Paris Match as saying she met Albert on a flight in July 1997, leading to a relationship and the birth of a child in August 2003.
The interview is illustrated with pictures of the prince holding and feeding a young boy with dark curly hair and eyes.
Coste said she went public with the story because "I want Alexandre to grow up normally with a father."...

I am not buying the story. Everything I have heard from people who know the Price is that he is always accompanied by attractive effeminate men.

"I want Alexandre to grow up normally with a father." If you really want Alexandre to grow up normally, you would hide from him the fact that his father is King of Monaco.

According to the claims of Togolese air stewardess Nicole Coste, the 47-year-old prince, who acceded to the Monegasque throne just under a month ago, has been paying her an allowance and regularly visits Alexandre. Nicole made her claims in an interview with French magazine Paris Match, which featured her and son Alexandre on the cover and dedicated ten pages of editorial to the story.

Nah, those are just the citizens of Monaco.

I read the New York Times article about this story very carefully, and it is clear to me that Albert is indeed the father of this child. Because genetic testing is now 100% accurate when it comes to paternity issues, celebs falsely accused of fathering children are (post-testing) unequivocal in asserting they are not the fathers of the children. Albert has acknowledged in writing -- please see the Times article -- that he is the father, something there would be no reason to do is he were not.

So this means he's not gay? - producing a child and being gay have nothing to do with each other. - My wifes best friend is a flamming gay and when his homely childhood sweetheart wanted a baby, he agreed, acted upon her wish (with great difficulty), and produced a very nice young boy. Before you state how terrible and evil this man is be aware he is the best absent father I have ever heard of, he flies home to france every two weeks to spend one week with his son, he took his son on a week vacation at spring break, bought the home they live in and pays the mother a rather nice sum to support the boy. I know of nor have heard of ANY man that has supported their bastard son this way.

Isn't there something about the Principality of Monoco reverting to France if the Grimaldi line dies out? Didn't they have to try and adopt a law that said the line can decend through the daughters?
Perhaps this plays into that issue.
