AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters) -- Texas lawmakers sent a message to the state's high school cheerleaders Wednesday: no more booty-shaking at the game.
The state's House of Representatives voted 85-55 to approve a bill that would forbid sexy cheers and give the Texas Education Agency authority to punish schools that allow "overtly sexually suggestive" routines at football games and other events.

Cheerleaders to Texas House: "Bring It On".
(steely)
I guess they need to dress them up in black burkas, head to toe.
Make the cheerleaders stand totally still and keep their mouths shut.
Somehow, I dont think Texans are gonna go for this.
"Cheerleaders to Texas House: "Bring It On"."
Oh no she di-'int!!
There is no sponsor of this bill in the Senate, which means it likely won't even be brought up.
Sorry, someone had to.
Shake it like a salt shaker?
Okay, I know I'll be called a prude, but I say good for Texas on this one. It sends kind of a mixed message to tell kids to abstain from pre-marital sex and then encourage them to dance like strippers in front on all the drooling old men in the stands. I know I'm a party pooper.
:-(
Spiffy to Cheerleaders - Shake It
"Shake it - don't break it!" placemarker.
Moderation in all things ... including moderation. ;^)
Of all the pressing problems facing the glorious Republic , excuse me State of Taxes (this is the new spelling after th rinos killed property tax reform)they are wasting O2 on this. It may be time throw all the bums out.
"Sorry, someone had to."
No problem. That movie (and that "Oh no she di-int!" line) cracks me up!
LOL.
(steely)
I told my daughter she was forbidden to become a cheer-leader.
I'm no prude, but that sort of thing is for adults as far as I am concerned.
Sheesh, am I the only one? Where's the heavy-handed pseudo-fascist religious right the liberals gripe about all the time? I'm feeling kind on lonely here.
:-)
Shake it like a Poloriod picture?
You're on your own. I made the mistake of image Googling "cheerleader" once whilst here at work. I'm lucky to still be employed. : )
Thank you. I posted my second post before I saw your response.
