Yep, we can't have the illegals from Brazil competing with the illegals from Mexico for jobs now can we :P

Since Guatamala is on the southern Mexican border, they have a similar situation to the one the US has with Mex.

What I've heard though, is that the Mexicans simply kill the Guatamalans. I've no source and I'd like to know how close to the truth that is?

Wait, let me get this straight: We're sending the Brasileiras back and letting the Mexicanos through? The system is broken, my friend...

Approximately 86 percent actually appears in court, according to Monitor archives.

Are we supposed to believe this figure, I don't. Danbury, CT alone has an estimated 15,000 illegals, many of them from Brazil. If they were showing up for court hearings they'd be getting deported or legalized.

Mexico has long had issues with Guatemalan guerrillas on it's southern border. This borders Chiapas were Mexico has it's own insurgency-refugee problems.

Been a fair amount of bloodshed over the decades.

". . .the news could mean a possible decrease in the number of Brazilians crossing the border into the United States illegally."

How about that? The wetbacks have wetbacks.

That's because mexico wants to merge with the US and canada. Joint security is just one of many steps before borders are completely done away with.

It's a pipe dream of many in this country as well but I don't think the American people would ever stand for it. At least I hope not.

Me, too. But, things are being done under the radar. It'll be a done deal before most Americans know about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but - isn't Brazil the South American center for Islamic terrorists? This would explain why the US requested Mexico to re-instate visa requirements. It also indicates the US government knows how vulnerable the southern border is, and that they are also aware terrorists being able to enter the US from Mexico.

Hours later, agents found another group of nine immigrants — all of whom had passports.

What I want to know is how and where they got the passports!

a illegal girl from guatemala was raped in a train station in Coahuila; some legal guatemalans were found working on slaving conditions in Chiapas; there is also biological restrictions for inmigrants: they can't enter if they have some dangerous illness; a cuban who's ship went in the wrong direction and ended in Mexico was send to jail because the authorities didn't knew what to do with him, when interviewed by local news programs he claimed: " let me go! to U.S. ambassy or back to Cuba"; and there has been cases of south american and eastern european women who where lied for table dance and "the sort" companies promising them well paid and glamorous careers as models in Mexico. anything else you need?

"U.S. Rep. Solomon Ortiz, D-Corpus Christi, who has publicly criticized border security, strongly supports the need for greater cooperation between agencies to protect the nation’s border"

Finally, a Democrat I can agree with.

""What we need to do is require passports and visas of Mexicans when they enter this country."

YES!!!"

No. The illegals don't come in here through official, well marked boarder gateways in the first place, so the requirements for visas and passports are moot.

You're only going to require legal Mexican immigrants to do what they've always done, which is use a passport and visa to get into the country, snd to get the required shots so they don't bring their diseases here.
