Someone on another thread said she is not a runaway bride. She faked her own abduction. In other words, the abduction was not just a spur of the moment lie.
That might be the funniest thinkg I've ever seen on FR.
If the family had any savvy, within hours of Jennifer's return, they would have:
gone public with a profuse and heartfelt apology and thanked all the volunteers who searched and prayed for Jennifer,
acknowledged that Jennifer had caused the citizens of Duluth and law enforcement unnecessary work, long hours, overtime, etc.
offered to work with the authorities to find a way to reimburse the costs of the search and would contribute to a charity benefiting the police or search and rescue orgs
asked for privacy to heal
and told that gushing goober of a groom to shut up.
Public opinion would have been on the family's side and the city would have closed ranks around them.
Instead they have lawyered up and Mason has run amuck ,enjoying his 15 minutes of fame,
euphorically and creepingly talking about everything from their "pure, unbroken " non sex life to why he doesn't own socks.
The good people of Duluth were there for the family within hours, but, it takes the family days and consults with different lawyers, to say thanks via a written statement, to Duluth.
A day late and a dollar short comes to mind.
The fiance has apparently lost the contents of his "baggie" - he is wholly pw'd.
Aw, leave her alone. The woman is probably emotionally unstable anyway. I doubt she is capable of a "public statement".
I can understand why someone who lived in her town and helped in the search might be a little angry at her? But why people on this board? Who among you has been hurt by this woman?
This country has turned into one big Roman gallery (or Jerry Springer show).
We don't know the real reasons that she bolted but she does have the right to change her mind. If both still want to marry each other, so be it. Having said that, I'll add a bit more. I'm utterly fed up with people who make more of a wedding than they do of the marriage. Only God knows what's in a person's heart and no amount of posturing and preening before an audience is going to change that. So, let the couple sort it out and get on with whatever remains of their lives. either together or separately. Privately, I hope.
As for reparations--have the media kick in a small part of what the vultures made covering this debacle and that should be sufficient to take care of several more runaway brides.

Well said. I too believe she is mentally and emotionally unstable and should be cut all the slacj=k in the world.
The people of her town might have a standing in being a bit upset but they too should get over it.
And the Hispanic group saying they are going to stand in her front yard. What a but of small minded people.
Everyone just needs to get over it, get a life people.
