I received this e-mail from NYSCatholicConference.org:
Stop Cloning and Embryo Research Contact Your Assembly Representative Now
On Tuesday, May 3, 2005 the New York State Assembly Health Committee voted in favor of releasing dangerous legislation (A.6300)that would promote human cloning for the purpose of conducting medical experiments on living human embryos. This means that the full Assembly can vote on this issue in the very near future. Please urge your Assembly representative to oppose this bill. Embryonic stem cell research depends on human cloning and is a radical assault on human life! Take action now.
Thanks
The worst part is that it was the local republicans that caused it.
There is a company here locally that makes the fluid that the stem cells grow in and of course we don't want to do anything against them, oh my the tax base and contributions to campaigns may suffer.
Thank you, Coleus, for using your ping list for NYS!
"The worst part is that it was the local republicans that caused it."
The Republican Party in NYS is getting weaker and weaker on all fronts. There is no difference between them and the NYS Democrat Party.
They think they have to act like liberals in NYS, but they ran pro-abortion liberal Howard Mills against Schumer, and Howard Mills only received 24% of the vote.
Maybe the NYS GOP needs to energize the conservative base.
Someone from the NYS Right-to-Life Committee told me that a politician wanted to be endorsed by the NYS Right-to-Life Party (when it existed), but the NYS Republican Party in his area told him that if he did that, the Republican Party would not back him.
Ping!
I beleive it, I had their endorsement on 2001
Now they no longer exist as a Party I hear.

one from the Associate Press covering the fall of the researcher.
