Bet theres lots of OIL off the coasts of Baja California..

LOL, it is such an advantage to join up with Mexico....
What a line of bunk.
Texas does not have the right to secede. No state does.
What Texas did negotiate, which makes it unique among the states, as an incentive to join the U.S.A., was the right to split into two states, thereby giving it two more votes in the Senate.
(And I'm not sure whether that power is still in effect.)
