Checked your posting history. I think you'd be happier on a more liberal forum.

Checked his posting, you're right. He would feel more comfortable on a liberal site, maybe DU.

I agree. Here are some positions posted by Diesonne (is that for "Die Sony"?):

On torture:

"Thirdly, it's just too slippery a slope and we've got to maintain the moral high ground as much as possible. If you "know for certain" that torturing someone might save 100,000 lives, you might say "OK, it's worth it". What about 10,000 lives? What about 100? What about 1? What about saving some property? You are very very unlikely to ever know for certain that someone has current accurate knowledge and that they will divulge that knowledge under duress and that you can act upon that knowledge to save lives."

On PBS:

"PBS has great kids programs and very little commercial advertising. My little girl loves Dora the Explorer.

I can't comment on Bill Moyers' program as I don't watch it, but let's be careful about what we ask for. I for one appreciate having independent non-commercial quality kids programs."

On Judicial Filibusters:

"We should be careful about this. Bush got something like 90% of the judges he wanted. When the tables turn someday in the future and we're the minority party, and there are extremely liberal anti-corporation or anti-capitalist judicial nominees that we want to block, we're going to be sorry. I'd rather have a filibuster ability on judges than legislation even. Legistlation can be changed but judges can't."

On the ACLU:

"It seems to me that the ACLU is constantly fighting for the liberties of individuals while limiting the powers of government. Whether defending Nazis right to march or Oliver North's right against self-incriminating testimony or more recently arguing that Rush Limbaugh's medical records should remain sealed, they seem to me to be solidly on the side of individual Constitutional rights, especially the First Amendment."

On CT Civil Unions:

"A victory of unemotional rational consideration of individual rights over knee-jerk emotional bigotry? Congratulations, Connecticut. For the sake of a prosperous America, this is a good development. Remember, even our President has stated support for civil unions for gays (after the 2004 election, for obvious reasons)."

On lack of WMD's:

"To stand on a soapbox, I'll say that as a human being, I'm glad that this tyrant Saddam has been removed but as an American taxpayer, I'm disappointed that the primary justification was false and that the war did not pay for itself as predicted and that no one was held accountable for these failures."
