Calm down now or I'll just tune you out.
Recall that I first asked you what you meant by the presidential pulpit. I brought up Nancy Reagan's skit because it happened over 20 years ago and did poke fun at the President and her husband at a place where you would define as a presidential pulpit.

You made complete sense -- and you are wise beyond your years.
These last few months, starting, at least for me, with the Kidd Rock threads, have been a real eye opener to a majority of us.
I think you'll find that a lot of people are moving to the middle (and will be villified for it), but that is truly where the strength of this country lies -- and where the difference will be made.
Keep up the great work. You can keep teaching us new things, but, FGS, PLEASE get them to lighten up on the Boomers.....LOL.

Only a whore would talk this way in public.
If I called your mother one, would that offend you?
I'm sure she has done something in her life to justify my saying it unless she is Mother Teresa.
Would you say it to her face?
Or in front of George?
By the way, Laura is a mother too and you owe her an apology.

I personally am not a big fan of all the piercings and tattoos. But I appreciate other people's ability to express themselves through the body art. For some people it works, but others it doesn't.
It's amazing to see how many tattoos some people have at the Harley run in Laughlin NV. And you've got a great mix of people, from the young to the old.

Tomkat: Nothing qualified at all about my apology. I was wrong. Whether the First lady admits her mistake or not is immaterial to my apology. The fact is she did make a mistake, and it has inspired a lot of over-heated rhetoric because it was such a gross error in judgement. By the way, you're pathetic in the extreme, like many others at Freeperland. You can't discuss the issue. You insist on demonizing anyone who doesn't agree with you.
Here's the issue here: Should a republican, conservative first lady whose husband was elected by "the values vote" be telling strip-joint jokes and legitimizing trash TV? Can that position seriously be defended? Go ahead and try.

You sound like the Clintonistas, getting after Ken Starr for going after what Clinton did in the Oval Office, when Clinton made the investigation about Clinton's sex life. If I'm a clintonista, is this little event your monica? Are you playing the role of Ken Starr? This is getting more humorous by the moment. I am laughing but also a little sorry that it has you so upset.
To: farmer18th
Is that suppose to be an answer to my question to you?
If so, you failed miserably.

At least nine who survived to adulthood.
There's a story that, after the birth of one of the later ones, Queen Victoria's doctor told her that she shouldn't have anymore, at risk of her health.
"You mean I can't have any more fun in bed?" the queen replied.

"Nobody on the other side said anything NEAR what he said; the words "penis," "Jerking off," "masturbation," "white trash," and "whore" were ALL being posted by those claiming to be so damn offended."
Sure, why not. No one 'round here would ever insult or berate other FReepers for simply voicing an opinion that some comments crossed the line into crass.

If I'm a clintonista, is this little event your monica? Ah, so once again, it's our fault for the subject of this thread - not the person who told the risque jokes.
Adding you to my list of freepers who arent' worth bothering with any longer. This experience has been quite an eye-opener.

I brought up Nancy Reagan's skit because it happened over 20 years ago and did poke fun at the President and her husband at a place where you would define as a presidential pulpit. And, once again, Nancy did not tell off-color jokes - which means her performance was not a yardstick to gauge whether Laura's jokes would have been deemed acceptable from a presidential pulpit in 1982.

I had great respect for the First lady before this incident. Her actions have diminished that respect.
