Oh I've done my share of attacking, too.... I'm human, and lack patience with people who seem to be more stubborn than smart. It's a pendulum swing. At first I was amused to see all the piously pretentious get their panties in a wad about it. Then they made me mad about noon yesterday. By last night I was simply fatigued.

Now I'm rested, and think for awhile I might be amused again.

If I may borrow your analogy, (to me) it's more like meeting up with a gorgeous woman. When you get intimate with her you discover that she has bad breath. Now you're simultaneously attracted and repelled.
