I had not thought about masturbation in regard to Laura's speech UNTIL I READ IT POSTED ON FR BY A HOLIER-THAN-THOU TYPE!

I actually had not thought of it myself in exactly that way (didn't think of the m word) however, I realized why it was funny to some people (altho again, it's such a tired old joke).
I'm really not sure why everyone has focused on the horse thing. It is mild (to me) compared to other parts. I was more taken aback by the chippendales remarks and disappointed by the desperate housewives references. And truthfully, I was disturbed that she seemed to be so disrespectful of her husband. I would not publicly talk about mine like that (altho in private, hey, that's another matter!)
However, none of that changes the fact that we cannot have a civil discussion about any of this without some Freepers (who I consider comrads in arms!) posting back nasty, mean things that disparage people personally, instead of just disagreeing with their premise. We really can disagree and like each other, or even respect each other. But that becomes difficult when someone starts saying we aren't getting enough because we don't like vulgar humor on tv (and the morning news shows for that matter).
