Those are her attorneys? They look like they got lost, and mistook the courthouse for a Bloomingdale's.

Well, it isn't exactly a myth these days. My ex was in the Air Force, and I guess you could say he was poor white trash. A lot of people think they can join the military, and improve their lot in life. The problem is that they don't have the discipline that it takes to succeed. The military isn't your mommy, or your god. They work with what is given to them, whether these recruits grew up with morals and principles...or not.

Btw, he served 4 years, and received an honorable discharge. He also is very successful in business, but is Satan on the homefront.

I'm sure that most of the successful members of the military came from military, and middle class backrounds, but not all of them.

... with a psychologist testifying that the reservist was oxygen-deprived at birth, speech impaired and had trouble learning to read.

Gee, if she was this bad off, how'd she get into the military in the first place?

Lol, hell yeah, bags under the eyes and spotty complexion. Drill sargents used to scare the hell out of everyone, but I don't know how it goes these days. PC, you know :(

It was a shame that someone took pics of the "carnage", perpretated by our soldiers. It's also a shame that MSM doesn't print pictures of torture victims, mass graves, or hostages being beheaded.

We kick ass, and MSM can't stand it! We don't violate human rights, but they can't seem to find photos of REAL human rights violations around the world. OMG, panties on heads!!! Idiots and tools, that's all they are.

This matter should have been handled internally. There was no need for a National Enquirer type expose'. I unfortunately met a guy in the Air Force who wasn't firing on all cylinders. It has ruined 27 years of my life, not to mention the kids. I have to take at least half the blame for that.

Having said that, recruiters need to focus not on a body count, but enlisting qualified, right minded individuals.

"Having said that, recruiters need to focus not on a body count, but enlisting qualified, right minded individuals."

In our perfect, flag-waving, patriotic dream world, that WOULD be the case...but quotas must be met. People like you and I that just walk in and say, "Sign Me Up" are few & far between these days.

The further I am away from it, the more I see the military as just an extension of any other "Corporate Culture." Glad I managed to play the game and leave 20 years later with my life still intact.

I don't mean that in a bad way...it's just that age and experience give you so much more insight when compared to the choices we make as youngsters; choices this young soldier will be reflecting upon for decades to come.
