Heres a link to the poll. http://www.usatoday.com/news/polls/tables/live/2005-05-02-poll-results.htm Check this question out: 6/7. Do you think the [Q6: religious right/Q7: Christian conservative movement] has too much influence, too little influence, or the right amount of influence over the Republicans in Congress? Too much Too little Right amount No influence No opinion 2005 Apr 29-May 1 ^ 43 22 28 1 6 2005 Apr 1-2 39 23 33 * 5 ^ Split form wording when one half asked "religious right" and one half asked "Christian conservative movement." Results were the same for each wording, so data are combined and reported on full sample WORDING: Do you think the religious right has too much influence, too little influence, or the right amount of influence over the Republicans in Congress? I hate to sound like a broken record but heres another example of the left trying to tie "Bible Thumpers" to the Republican Party. Its the one thing the left feels it do enough the last 2 elections.

1006 people polled... i never trust polls with numbers like that, it should of stopped at 1000 so you know the last six all voted the way they wanted to help skew the results

"Yeah, we could be safe and secure with Saddam and his sons still in power, the Oil For Food graft rolling in, and Russia, China and France rushing weapons and nuke technology to him the same way they're doing for Iran. But, thanks to constant US air patrols of the No Fly Zone from our secure bases in Saudi Arabia, Saddam would be in his famous "box", so no worries"
Yes, people forget that we flew 30,000 missions over the skies of Iraq annually. It just wasn't from Saudi bases either. We kept 1-2 Aircraft Carriers in the Gulf 24-7, not to mention a perpetual presence at bases in Turkey also.
I don't know what the price tag was for these operations but it must have been huge. I saw a figure that in terms of fatigue life, the average military aircraft aged six years during the Clinton years.

The largest problem with the war is that there was no coalition of countries to do it right, for in fact we and they should have attacked Afghanistan,Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Saudi Arabia, and destroyed terrorism for the next 500 years once and for all.

99.999% of Americans don't watch CNN and its viewership numbers prove it.

CNN should poll 1000 people who matter:
American soldiers, airmen, sailors, and marines who see Iraq first hand.

Actually, the Civil War was very unpopular and it looked for awhile like Lincoln would not be reelected. The Dems put up an anti-war General.
I would like to see a better communications strategy from the Bush Administration.
When I go online and the Yahoo page comes up, it's disgusting to see the news articles. They are all anti-Bush, anti-Iraq.
To: LouAvul
The people get none of the positive news.
There is a 24-7 attack on the war by the media and main stream press.
So, how can an impatient people who are told it is bad 24-7, not begin to lose their backing of it.
This is the left corrupting the people IMO.

Re:
Another push poll by the liberal MSM. You are so very correct. The problem is . . our media is not in a vacuum, and this gives the killers of Americans more chances to recruit. Since this is in sync with the left wing media, sadly, they see no problem with that.

It would be nice to see the actual question that was asked in this survey.
It probably went like this: " Taking into consideration the recent car bombings, assasinations of Iraqi political officials, and general up-swing in terrorist activity, how would you say things are going for the United States in Iraq? Very good , Good , Badly , or Very Badly....."
