Well, we are getting ready for the 2005 ballooning season and I needed a newer car. My flagged out Cavalier went to Race Bannon, and my son is off to Russia for a month and won't be around much this summer so we sold his flagged out MR-2 to our mailman's son. I was carless. We picked up a Grand Am on eBay and have just finished painting it. I wanted my fellow FReepers to have a look. It is our best paint job yet!

The car doesn't cause traffic jams but the balloon does! I've been on more than one chase that I couldn't get to the balloon for all of the traffic it caused! VOC has also had to tell people from in the balloon to watch it!

We have only had one incident. In the Cavalier... There was a van full of middle eastern looking fellows that were swearing and freaking out over it. They didn't enjoy it at all. :-)

OUTSTANDING! Just think, when you get too old to wrestle with the balloons you can still paint cars for a living. I want a baby blue one with clouds and a cross to match my profession. Anyway, the car is so beautiful.

Hey--at my last appt., Doc was telling me about going to the ABQ festival. He said two of the most amazing balloons were the flag and the space shuttle. His eyes lit up as he talked about them. What a small world.
