ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Ten years after a firefighter was left brain-damaged and mostly mute during a 1995 roof collapse, he did something that shocked his family and doctors: He perked up.
"I want to talk to my wife," Donald Herbert said out of the blue Saturday. Staff members of the nursing home where he has lived for more than seven years raced to get Linda Herbert on the telephone.
It was the first of many conversations the 44-year-old patient had with his wife, four sons and other family and friends during a 14-hour stretch, said Herbert's uncle, Simon Manka.
"How long have I been away?" Herbert asked.
"We told him almost 10 years," the uncle said. "He thought it was only three months."

We never knew the extent of Mrs. Schiavo's injuries. And therein lies the problem. The state put her to death on unverified testimony.

I wonder what the liberals are saying now.
Terri Schiavo could have done the same thing. But her husband didn't care. He had her murdered so he could marry his girlfriend (with whom he had 2 kids) and not feel guilty.

Praise God ! It probably helped a lot that he was in a nursing home, not in a hospice like Terri was. He probably got actual treatment instead of an expectation of death.

Well she was brain-damaged as well.
I believe the fact that this firefighter recovered was a miracle of God. I know that He could have done the same thing for Terri.

MS couldn't afford to have his wife live. He wanted her dead and successfully got the judicial system to comply with the murder his wife.

I know that He could have done the same thing for Terri.Of course, it would have helped, maybe just a little, if she'd been attended by physicians and nurses actually trying to make her well...

Well, actually,
not all of the brain scans that COULD have been done
were done. And the doctor relied upon by the judge is a known advocate of euthanasia.
So there you go.

God bless his wife for staying faithful. May their testimony unravel many Lamestream media principalities in the Lord Jesus Christ's name, I pray.

Her EEG was flat. A skull full of spinal fluid can not miraculously grow back in to a functioning brain.
Lies, Lies and more lies.

I've told my husband that if he EVER puts me in a hospice for any reason, I will come back and haunt him!

Do we really know this? I'm not a doctor and don't pretend to be. How different were the injuries? Terri, at one time, was walking with assistance, before Mr. Schiavo got his lawsuit money. No telling where she would've been today had he continued the treatment she was supposed to get.
This fireman has probably been getting the rehab he needed.

He could of but He didn't. Accept it.
