The NEA has turned an entire generation of teachers into a vast gaggle of self-pleasuring leftists.

Now that's the best picture I've seen of her. She looks so... guilty with an explanation.

They do seem to be on a quest for the golden goose.

The real shame is that you are in all likelihood thanking people for doing a mediocre job that thanks to them you now don't know enough to identify as such.
There isn't a single institution that has done more to directly harm this country than the NEA. They have done their level best to take away our last weapon in the fight against tyranny,... the knowledge that it's being committed. They have consistently and substantially done all they could to subordinate the well being of our children for the sake of picking the taxpayers pockets. They have fought every attempt at making the education system accountable or competitive, and have embraced every ridiculous new fashion so long as it meant there was more slop in the trough or someone new to blame for their lack of performance.
I know there are good teachers out there and no one should be more angry about this than them, but they stand by silently, setting a typical example.
It's my personal opinion that any member of the NEA (or AFT in NY) should be deeply ashamed of themselves.
They aren't welcome in my home.

Thank the education cartel for the utter destruction they have wrought upon America? Thank the education cartel for driving the property taxes of hard-working Americans right through the roof? I don't think so.

May 3 is National Teacher Day, a day for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make to our lives. While it does take a lot of people to make a school succeed, this day focuses on the teachers who work to make public schools great places for students to succeed in life. ROTFLMAO!!! H*ll...and PIMP, as well!

They do a job. They get paid. What makes them Saints that deserve a special day. When is National construction worker day? They keep us from having to live outside in the elements. When is National grocer day, or National farmer day? They keep us from starving to death. When is National factory worker day? They provide us with the clothes we wear and the cars we drive. Everyone who works makes a contribution. Teachers need to be brought down off the pedestal they have been placed on. They teach because that is what they chose as a CAREER. Appreciation day for them should be the same as anyone else, payday.

No, TCostell, the real shame is that you are making assumptions and then attempting to communicate them.

Completely agree. Thank you for your precise analysis. Perhaps you also have a few teachers to thank from your childhood. :-)

Yes, LOL. She has her arms brought up so that her hands are together, not quite folded as in prayer, but close enough to imply some sort of an appeal to innocence.

Assumptions aren't your strong suit, TCostell.

Some teachers deserve the credit , others deserve the blame.

LOL, you would have been the envy of drafting students in my high school. Drafting class was one year only, and never with a female teacher.
