My fellow FREEPers,
I know it's been a while. Well i forgot to duck. By the time most of you see this I will be on my way to Germany for treatment. The war for me is done. My men continue to do the job. This last rash of bombings and attacks are being under reported and I don't know why. Al Queada is getting desparate. I don't know when I'm will RTS. But I do imagine that it will be soon. God I love wireless. LOL! Please keep praying for us.

I've, um, 'interacted' with those guys (spec ops).I am trying to respect your perspective as a (former, current?) military officer (or someone who knows one?) -- but your repeated attempts to trash the reputation of a FRiend of mine are getting old. They are highly skittish about photographs--remember how many photos we saw of them in Afghanistan and Iraq covering their faces? Hmmmm?
After Captain Mike has recovered from his injuries sufficiently to address your charges PERSONALLY, we can resolve this matter more fully.Until then, perhaps you can explain how your "interactions" with super secret "James Bond"-type Special Operations officers who never appear on camera unmasked differ from THESE guys, from www.soc.mil/News/releases:
..or are these (publicly unmasked) U.S. Special Forces soldiers "fakes," too?
You might be right that he is a fake. I doubt it, and I certainly hope you are wrong, but your vulgarity trumps all. You MUST be right.
BTW, if he turns out to be genuine, you gonna take it back?
Why you getting so mad?
There's been a lot of car and suicide bombings lately -and associated casualties so I tread lightly on this subject.
I consider the 'front line' to be the MSRs, guardposts, Anbar provence, parts of Baghdad and SOC operations. If he's 'on the front line' he's certainly not going to be going to a local's house for dinner. Unless they live in the IZ it's CBS. Heck, the IZ ain't even safe, the Australian was grabbed from a construction site. The word is the Ghurkas just stood by while they hauled him off.
I think you'd agree that no one in Iraq talks about being on the front line since those really don't exist.
Are their names/ranks listed in the article?
I didn't think so....
I'm offended that someone would cover themselves with false glory at the expense of the reputation of the silent warriors who's names we'll never know.
Are their names/ranks listed in the article?Names and ranks of Special Operations officers like THESE, also from www.soc.mil:
RELEASE NUMBER: 050428-01
DATE POSTED: APRIL 29, 2005
Three Army SOF teams score well in annual Best Ranger Competition
By Kim Laudano
75th Ranger Regiment Public Affairs Office
FORT BENNING, Ga. (USASOC News Service, April 29, 2005) After 60 grueling hours and 26 military tests, only 11 of 23 teams remained and three of them competed under U.S. Army Special Operations Command's banners last weekend in the 2005 Best Ranger Competition here.
The USASOC teams finished third, seventh and eleventh. Respectively, they were Master Sgt. James A. Moran and Sgt. 1st Class Walter J. Zajkowsk of Headquarters USASOC, Sgt. Neal B. Jacobson and Sgt. Jason C. Noffsker from the 75th Ranger Regiment and 1st Lt. Christopher Hallows and 1st Lt. Nicholas Clark also representing the Rangers.
While the Moran-Zajkowsk team took an early lead in the three-day competition which began April 22, they were unable to sustain the momentum and eventually gave way to Capt Corbett F. McCallum and Sgt. 1st Class Gerald Nelson, 4th Ranger Training Battalion who won the competition...
Nice try, please play again.

Notice that no names and ranks are included.
You are only making my point.
HQ Guys from Bragg...The photographs of Captain Pierce which were posted on FR were taken in HOLLYWOOD, and REDONDO BEACH. :o)
I know that we are in "enemy territory" (in the CULTURE War) out here on the Left Coast......but since when did those venues become more secure areas than Fort Bragg?
Be glad to have you home. Thank you for what you did for our country, for the American people. Hope your recovery is going well.
It reveals his name, rank, photo, that he was injured in a bombing on/about 1 May and the fact that a 1LT Marc Owen works for him. All nice info for terrorist types to know-- information that puts the other members of his team there in danger.
Can you understand how sensitive that kind of information is on operational teams in Iraq?
Loose lips sink ships, y'know....
I leave it to your conscience.
OK, notice that the photos are pretty indistinct...Huh?
From http://www.soc.mil/News/imagery/USASFC/USASFC.htm:
Compare THAT picture (above) with THIS one, from one of the "Captain Mike" threads posted on FR: A Soldier from the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Carson, Colo., congratulates one of his top squads for completing a full day of manuvers without error on Oct. 23, 2002. In the third phase of the Georgia Train and Equip Program the Georgian Army will learn airmobile operations, basic and advanced rifle marksmanship, and tactical movement. OK, if you really believe this faker is a gen-u-wine SF Officer returning from an operational unit in Iraq, then it is your duty to get this thread pulled.I will confess to my ignorance of Special Operations protocol...It reveals his name, rank, photo, that he was injured in a bombing on/about 1 May and the fact that a 1LT Marc Owen works for him...
...and I will admit to aggressively promoting the name, rank and image of Captain Pierce on this forum -- with neither his specific permission, nor his endorsement.I FReep, therefore I am.
(I have also aggressively promoted Ann Coulter, Hugh Hewitt, Ted Hayes, and many OTHERS in a similar manner on this forum.)How is what I have done in this case more sinister (or potentially mission-threatening) that the media circus which accompanied the (Special Operations?) rescue of Jessica Lynch?
Thanks for your sacrifice. God Bless and our prayers are with you and your family.
I've had tyhe worst luck searching for ANYBODY on AKO! I've had their first name, last name, rank, etc and still no dice! UGH!
Your comment is well taken.
Hope you and you'rs are well;)
Prayers for a quick recovery.
Thank you.
All's well here.
Now, let's get 'em in '06!
