It may be the case that gays claimed they were being discriminated against by not being allowed to donate blood, but if this occured it was out of ignorance, not malice.

I can't donate either. If I go try, and lie on the questionaire, am I doing it out of ignorance or malice?

You honestly believe that if somebody goes to donate blood and lies on the questionaire asking if they're a male who has had sex in the past few years with another male, it's out of ignorance?

Sorry, they're trying to prove a point. And it's more important to them that they "allowed" to do something than it is to ensure the safety of the blood supply.

That is different from what I said. Thinking that not being allowed to donate is discriminatory is different from actually lying on the forms. So far no one has been able to produce a link that confirms what you and others have been alleging.
