Not one immigration question was posed to POTUS last night by the elite DC press corps. Not one. I had a pretty good feeling that was what would happen because the mainstream media only attacks Bush from the left and not the right, so I watched country-music videos instead.

Kay Bailey Hutchison is RINO that will say anything to promote her political ambitions. I wouldn't trust her as far as I could spit. Few things are worse than getting stabbed in the back by one of your own. I know that feeling all too well. RINO George W. Bush has stabbed me and other conservatives in the back with his big-government education bill, with his amnesty plan for illegals, with his vigilante insult, with his recent praising of the corrupt Bill Clinton, with his increase in funding for the National Endowment for the Arts and other domestic spending programs, etc.
If Kay Bailey really is a RINO, maybe it's because her mentor lives just down the street at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. As for the praise she gave the minutemen, I applaud it.

The elite DC MSM could care less about the immivasion. I heard it reported that morning on either CNN, MSNBC or FOXNews that WH spokesman McClelland laid out the ground rules and anything having to do with immigration or the Minutemen and a couple of other current issues would definitely be persona-non-grata at the press conference. It figures that the WH wants to do damage control since they're getting creamed by the Minutemen coverage and in the Congress.

It was all captured on tape and the kids was exonerated. Absolutly true, no arrest ever occured. The Sheriff met with the accused person in the "Day room" at the Bible College dorm and the first thing he said was "I am not here to arrest you." He was investigating the allegation. Period. So the guy's buddy fetched the video camera and plugged it into a little TV right there and rolled the tape, with about 15 folks, the Sheriff and his Deputy and the accused person all watching. After watching the entire 10 minutes or so of the "encounter" the Sheriff indicated "nothing here," requested a copy of the tape, not the original and went back to his business. i.e. the sheriff left.
So much for the "arrest."
What does burn me is the reference to the number of Americans at the Project with the term "several." Biggest bunch of "several" I ever saw.

WOOOOHOOO!
I just talked to Jim Gilchrist again yesterday. 3 Minutemen from Chicago want to stage a protest at a Republican meeting were Steve Rauschenberger who is running for Governor of Illinois will be speaking.
3 weeks ago State Senator Rauschenberger voted for Illinois to ACCEPT the Matricula as a valid form of ID. He also voted to grant Illegal alien's children tuition breaks.
To make a long story short I asked Jim if we could identify ourselves from the Minuteman Project.
He said "By all means!! Please do!"
I am sending out press realeases this weekend.

Yes, he didn't want anyone cutting into the time that the President needed to explain his new Marxist means-testing way of redistributing money directly confiscated from everyone's paychecks. My back really, really hurts and the stain between my shoulder blades is ruining all of my clothes.

Maybe using my 'Security Moms for Bush' Tshirt as a car rag is still giving it too much credit. I think I'll line the bird cage with it instead.
Great job, Minutemen! I am as excited about what you have accomplished as if I was living in the 1700's and hearing about the original Minutemen.

For a second there I thought this was about AZA Hutchinson (and about swallowed my crowns). That's exactly what I thought! Asa correcting himself as regards "the will of the people."

Fox Cable News is giving repeated coverage today in the form of a short news item that is repeating with minor variations about every 1/2 hour. They reported that the project will expand to California in June and to two locations along the Canadian border also. The indication was that the project would both expand and become a long term effort. Maybe we should start writing on the endless GOP begging letters that our contributions are being sent to the Minuteman Project.

Let me amend my last post. Fox just aired a longer report including a several minute interview with Simcox that was even handed and, I thought, rather supportive. It also included information that if the Federal government did not respond effectively there would be a four border state initiative this Fall with 10 - 15 thousand volunteers.

When the Minuteman Project was first publicized, I thought it was an excellent idea. It was an idea long in the making, something that needed to be done. I had high hopes and was very happy to see this type of thing proposed.
As the time drew near, for the MP to be implemented, I noticed an element (probably from the sidelines) that expressed the right to be armed and use lethal force. While I agreed with that idea in principle, I also recognized that it would only take one loose canon hothead to destroy any positive outcome the MP could hope to realize. It was at that point that I reluctantly backed off open support.
While I did back off open support, it was my hope that the MP effort would be launched, carried out successfully and obtain good success. My hopes have been realized. My fears were not. I am very glad to see this outcome.
I can't express my appreciate enough, to those who thought up this effort, participated and drove it through to success and have now inspired other efforts to come.
Wow! Screening those who were to participate, directing their actions and making this an overall sucess was a masterful job.
