WOBURN, MA -- A wild turkey is causing problems for almost all the residents of a Woburn, Massachusetts neighborhood, but one woman is accepting him with open arms.
"Tom" turkey, who appears to weigh in at about 20 pounds, has been so fearsome that some residents are afraid to leave their homes.
Police have tried to run "Tom" off, but the turkey continues to return.
Sharyn Newell, however, has befriended the bird and trained him to climb up her back and onto her head.
Turkey yes, but has anybody befriended France?
I miss that show!! WKRP in CIncinatttteeeeee....
How many million acres of "habitat" are we gonna have to devote to this idiot Tom? It's bigger than that stupid Ivory Bill peckerwood that the environwackos are wanting to devote 200,000 acres to.
And what makes the danged turkey want to mount her head?
Too bad it's owned by a French consortium.
"And what makes the danged turkey want to mount her head?"
She uses "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific" shampoo? LOL!
Did you read the posting here as of late where Clinton's legislation to save the Spotted Owl in the forests of the Northwest has actually caused their numbers to decline?
Your tax dollars at work!
Me too.
I taped a bunch of WKRP episodes in the long ago past, and have about worn the tapes out. The program wears well. Nearly all the episodes are still hilarious.
Godalmighty you are dumb...look back at the POSTS...I wasn't talking to you at all!!! I was responding to jdm.
Please leave me alone!!!
A part-time inventor suffered whiplash when a squirrel landed on his head as he was out testing a bird-feeding hat.
Ummm, are you aware that "git r done" is a catchphrase used by a certain redneck comedian?
Dr Johnny Fever made me want to be a DJ so bad! I remember his Black Death t-shirt. Or the episode where there was a bomb somewhere at the station and Venus and Johnny had to go to the transmitter to broadcast. I heard that they will probably never release the series on DVD because of all the different music that was used in the show.
Yes. Did you follow his hostile thread? He thought I was responding to him and I was responding to someone else.
He's too freakin' embarrassed to admit he screwed up.
But, you know what? I want a public apology.
If you don't think that's funny....get the h*** out of here!
I think that's pretty hostile. Obviously...he didn't get that I was talking to jdm and NOT HIM.
What a maroon.
some of his well known catch phrases are:
If you don't think that's funny ...- and -
Get R Done
You also might want to appoligise.
or apologize either way.
You're another one missing the freakin' point. READ THE POSTS. This guy is a moron.
Climbing up her back and onto her head, hey? Well chickee, don't complain when he puts those spurs to your arse.
Great shot.
When Larry The Cable Guy says something he thinks is pretty funny he says,
If you don't think that's funny ("get out of here"|"go to hell"|"then I don't know"|etc.)This phrase is a sign that the poster CIDKauf found your post funny. It was a harmless complement. This is an understood thing among anyone that watches the redneck comedy series with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry, and Tatersalad. Pretty much everyone here understands that but you. So let's analyze it post by post:
[paulat] Bruce Vilanch had a hilarious t-shirt on once that said, "YOUR PROCTOLOGIST CALLED. HE FOUND YOUR HEAD."at this point CIDKauf probably found your post, thought it was funny and decided to post a "Larry The Cable Guy" complement
[CIDKauf] If you don't think that's funny....get the h*** out of here!that was when you responded with
[paulat] What on earth are you talking about???!!!- and then -
[paulat] I BELIEVE YOU OWE ME AN APOLOGYit was at this point that CIDKauf probably realized that you weren't familiar with the "If you don't find ..." shtick so he added
[CIDKauf]about your proctologist....GIT R DONEAlmost everyone has heard Larry's "GIT R DONE" bit and CIDKauf probably thought that would help you realize it was just part of the comedy routine and he didn't mean any harm. (obviously to no avail)
So in summary. CIDKauf, in each of his two posts to you, was just doing part of a fairly well known comedy routine, and then gave up when it was obvious you didn't get it. I'm just asking you to step back for a moment and see this as it was, a silly misunderstanding, and try to relax.
Good night.
You are gracious and very nice person. Thank you for explaining.
I don't have cable and hardly ever watch TV. I think my t-shirt comment came from 5 years ago.
You were very nice to make me understand.
It upset me for someone to tell me to "get the hell out of here."
I wish the poster had your class.
Have a good weekend!
