Are we on the side of fellow Americans, or are we on the side of those of the new world order who want no borders? It is that simple. The vote will come down to just that.

Here's an aren't-you-glad-Charlie-is-your-congressman ping. "Government Executive Magazine"? That's almost as frightening as the illegals.

Excellent...the feds need local authorities to assist them...the open border crowd want only the Border Patrol to deal with this (because they know that BP simply cannot handle it alone)...involving local, county and state authorities and the American people is the only answer

Time for a second Operation Wetback

Operation Wetback

...17,000 criminal illegal aliens. That is not total illegal aliens now, just the criminals...

They are ALL criminals.

Borders, language, culture; or death to America?
Time to choose.

He talked about illegals at the district convention last month. He was adament that something be done. Of course, I don't recall him mentioning this particular act as his, but he's not a ego driven politician, at least as not as much as most.

Maybe I'll give him a call later and thank him. I'm sure he loves hearing from me, lol.

"The Minuteman Project is working."

It seems to have unchocked the wheels in Washington.

Unfortunately, thanks to Algore, I snicker any time I hear Norwood's name. I always think of "What does Dingell-Norwood say?"

The Norwood's Clear Act has been circulating around Congress for several years now and every year it seems to gather a little more support. I'm hopeful that this will be its breakout law because people finally seem to be waking up to this issue.

It has been a while since I have read it but as I recall it empowers state and local law enforcement to enforce immigration law and it compels the Federal government to take custody of or pay the cost of detaining any illegals they arrest. It seems like a pretty good deal.

17000 CRIMINALS CAUGHT IN A TIME OF WAR AND STILL OUR PRESIDENT SUPPORTS UNGUARDED BORDERS!

There is a word for that.

The Minuteman Project really seems to have awaken people from their slumber about the border.

It seems this has been picking up steam just like the Fair Tax has been (he's a co-sponsor of that too - I love my Rep!)

Fantastic! I've been calling for this Act to be revived and passed for a long time. If enacted it will remove much of the bureaucratic hassle that hinders most local and state law enforcement from properly dealing with criminal aliens (a great many of whom are gang members).

Next up we should be seeing legislation that denies significant highway funding from self-proclaimed "sanctuary cities".

I wonder when the "new world order" types will come on this thread to rant and call Norwood a racist?

The CAL-9 hyena pack has been very quiet of late. Have no idea why. Of course, their nominal alpha-dog leader, harrowup, flounced off in a snit a few days ago after sdpatriot got under his very thin skin about something or other.

Enjoy their absence. Probably won't last long.

They're probably back in drag over at DU. Either that or they're in drag while they're here.

I'd like to see them actually do something in Congress - but the big question is would the president sign it if it gets through the Senate? To have him exercise his first veto on the border would be too ironic. (Or moronic.)

I'd venture that whoever manages to fix the borders will win control over the Congress in 2006. (Won't be the Losertarians.) The staff at GOPUSA.com is trying to distance the party from the president on this issue like nothing I've ever seen - with good reason. This is the one issue that cuts through all parties and social classes, even more than abortion or gun rights. This is where we separate the pro-Americans from the NWO Commies/Borg.

Give 'em time. Like a bad penny, they'll keep turning up.

Kinda makes you really wonder why they hate the US so much.
