BOSTON, April 28, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A long-time news columnist has joined forces with other like-minded conservative Jews to defend Christians against anti-Christian bias in media and politics.
The group, Jews Against Anti-Christian Defamation (JAACD), is led by president Don Feder, an author and 19-year veteran columnist with the Boston Herald. “What I consider an epidemic of anti-Christian bigotry and persecution is something that has concerned me for a long time,” Feder said, according to a WorldNetDaily report. “By maintaining their loyalty to the eternal values revealed at Sinai, Christians have become pariahs in the eyes of the establishment, but heroes in our eyes.”
“Members span the spectrum from Orthodox to secular, but are united in their determination to support our beleaguered brothers and sisters in the Christian community,” information from the group read. Other members of the advisory board include rabbis, activists, academics, commentators, authors, Zionist leaders and an entertainer.
“Christian morality comes from the Jewish Bible, hence the expression ‘Judeo-Christian ethic,’”explained Feder. JAACD, therefore, “is also standing up for the morality of the Torah. Jews and Christians serve God differently. But our morality is the same.”
“Particularly pernicious is the leftist idea that it's legitimate to base your politics on anything except religion,” Feder said. “You can say that my politics are based on the views of Karl Marx or Ayn Rand or Jane Fonda … and that's OK, but as soon as you say your worldview is based on the Bible, that's considered an illegitimate basis for embracing certain political views.”
He said he decided about a year ago that it was time to do something about anti-Christian prejudice in America. He reasoned that, as Jews, “no one can accuse us of self-interest, because we're not Christians; we're Jews.”
“The fate of America hinges on whether or not Christians – I mean authentic Christians – succeed in the political arena.” Feder emphasized.

Good idea. They have a huge job ahead of them, I must say. But at least it's a start.
This is very nice. I thank everyone involved for your kindness, loyalty and consideration.
"United we stand, divided we fall," comes immediately to mind. Perhaps some will think that old adage is too cutesy, or say that 'fall' is more extreme than it needs to be. But that doesn't diminish the fact that all of us stand stronger together than we could possibly stand alone.

It's a good thing that they realize that not everything that calls itself "Christian" is.
Most Jews I have known have little or no knowledge of the Hebrew Bible. Fewer still believe even the smallest part of it either.
I figure truth is still the standard. Truth is a dictator.
Only what is truth or stands for truth deserves encouragement.

The news about the JAACD means a great deal to me as a Christian. Thanks to Don Feder and the other founders and their supporters from the bottom of my heart. From Virginia, all I can say is "God bless y'all real good!"

Smart Jews understand that true Christians are our best friends, and that this Christian nation in which we live is a haven for Jews because it is a Christian nation. It's the secular, Godless European nations where Islamofascism is taking hold and therefore anti-semitism (and of course anti-Americanism) is on the rise. Conservative Jews and Conservative Christians have much in common. We need to stick together. This is why I value the support of Tom Delay, and others like him. They are better friends to Israel and Jews than many leftist Jews.

Thanks to Feder for his courage. Of course, this means that he will be persecuted, as well.
BTW, one of the participants in this project is Morton Klein, President of the Zionist Organization of America. When you read "palaeconservatives" damning "Zionist" organizations you will never see the ZOA mentioned. Apparently it isn't a Zionist organization. No sir, these idiots think that the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Nation of islam are "Zionist" organizations, but they've never heard of the Zionist Organization of America.
I'm acquainted with a cantor from a liberal Milwaukee synagogue. He's a pleasant guy, but we have almost nothing in common.
I find it odd that he is almost categorically opposed to any expansion/defense of Israel's territory, or to Israeli 'smackdowns' of terrorists.
I just don't get liberal Jews. I guess I never will.
Regardless, I will seek your guidance when dealing with him should the need arise. Perhaps between us...
